Lakers @ Cavs, 8 PM ET on TNT

Tonight Sidney Crosby and his Pittsburgh Penguins take on Alex Ovechkin and his Washington Capitals.  Who’s better? You can make an argument for either one.  In the NBA, Lebron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers take on Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers. Who’s better? Take your pick, I’d like either on the ‘tim-pups.’ And finally, Todd Richards must have read my blog yesterday, because this morning he announced that John Scott and Derek Boogaard are both healthy scratches. Yayy 🙂  But the most important news out of the Xcel today, Brent Burns is playing. He has practiced once since November 20th.  You want to know why he is playing, because John Scott managed a minus-3 in just five minutes of ice time Monday night.

Sykora played just 14 games for the Wild.

Petr Sykora and Robbie Earl were both placed on waivers, and neither were claimed.  What this all means in the NHL, Earl will be headed to Houston (Wild’s AHL affiliate) and the Wild will not attempt to trade Sykora.  So bye-bye Petr Sykora, I do not know why.  Also little note from last night, Benoit Pouliot had 2 more goals last night.  Pouliot has six goals and one assist in his last seven games.  My tip for the Wild, don’t trade James Sheppard.  You already blew it when you were offered Olli Jokinen for him when Shep was having career year on that one guys named Marian Gaborik’s line.  I could rack up assists playing with Gabby.  One more quick thing, Sportscenter is telling that Wade Phillips is getting two more years 😦 I don’t want to get started on that. Well that’s all for me today, off to Spanish class.
